I ordered ribbons for my Smith Corona Electra C/T typewriter. It’s black on top & white on the bottom. The spool was just a smidge too big to fit in the space on my typewriter. I didn’t want to force it, thought the spool would break. So I took my old ribbon off, & rewound the new ribbon onto the old spool. A little inconvenient but it worked. The quality of the new ribbon is not as nice as the old ribbon, but it does the job, as well as the correction tape. Perhaps I ordered the wrong size?
