Unveiling the Nakajima WPT-150: Modern Typing Meets Classic Craftsmanship

Unveiling the Nakajima WPT-150: Modern Typing Meets Classic Craftsmanship
Portable Electronic Typing

Five Reasons to Choose the Nakajima WPT-150

At 11.3 pounds, the WPT-150 combines a compact carrying-handle design with a 100-character printwheel, three pitch settings, one-line correction memory, and practical office formatting.

A Focused Machine for Everyday Documents

The Nakajima WPT-150 is designed for people who want lighter electronic key touch and clean printwheel output without moving their work onto a computer. It is a strong fit for correspondence, forms, labels, envelopes, short reports, and distraction-free drafting.

12 CPS

Electronic print speed that keeps up with practical everyday typing.

90 characters

One-line correction memory for recent text.

10, 12, 15 pitch

Three character-per-inch choices for different layouts.

1. Useful Automatic Features

The WPT-150 reduces repetitive setup with automatic paper insertion, centering, carriage return, and relocation functions. Twelve programmable tab positions help with forms and aligned text, while margins, indentation, half-spacing, superscript, subscript, bold, and underline controls expand what you can produce on paper.

2. One-Line Correction Memory

The machine can correct up to the most recent 90 characters when used with its compatible correctable ribbon and lift-off tape. Word and character erase functions make small revisions much cleaner than correction fluid, while auto relocation returns the carrier to the point where typing should resume.

Correction supplies work as a system

The WPT-150 uses an XC001 ribbon and LO001 lift-off tape. Match both supplies to the machine and seat them correctly; a correction tape cannot lift ink produced by an incompatible ribbon.

3. Portable, Compact Design

At 16.2 inches wide, 14.7 inches deep, 4.5 inches high, and 11.3 pounds, the WPT-150 is easier to move and store than many full-size office typewriters. A built-in carrying handle and keyboard cover add convenience, although it still requires a standard 120V/60Hz outlet.

4. Changeable Printwheels

The 100-character drop-in printwheel system lets owners change type style or pitch with a compatible wheel. The machine includes a Prestige Pica 10 printwheel, and additional Nakajima printwheels can broaden the look of letters, forms, and creative projects.

5. A Practical New-Machine Warranty

The current product listing includes a one-year warranty from the date of purchase. Typewriters.com also provides product support at (404) 377-1884 from 9 AM to 5 PM ET, Monday through Friday, and at info@typewriters.com.
